British Airways London Eye
London Eye link
was conceived and designed by London based architects David Marks and Julia Barfield, www.marksbarfield.com in response to a call for proposals for a monument to celebrate the turning of the Millennium.

The "Eye" or the "Wheel" as it is affectionately known was David & Julia's response to this request, a structure not only to be admired for its beauty but also to be used to observe one of the worlds most famous cities. As London's fourth tallest structure soaring 135m it is possible to see 30 miles into 7 counties and enjoy a constantly changing perspective of London.

Over the last 5 years Nick has documented the design & build which took place in five countries across Europe by a dedicated team of designers & engineers through to the completion & commissioning early in 2000.
